China Open: Murray Cruises Past Kuznetsov

Top seed, Andy Murray scored a comprehensive 6-2 6-1 victory over Russian, Andrey Kuznetsov to set up an all-British quarter-final meeting with Davis Cup team mate, Kyle Edmund at the China Open.

The 29-year old Murray needed just an hour and sixteen minutes to close out the win, as he continues his bid to close the gap on Novak Djokovic on top of the world rankings.

World number one, Djokovic has won the China Open for four straight years, but the Serbian is not taking part in the 2016 edition because of an elbow problem.

Alexander Zverev continued his good form with a comfortable 6-4 6-2 dispatch of hard-hitting American, Jack Sock, while David Ferrer earned a fine 6-3 6-4 victory over Italian, Fabio Fognini.
