Joseph Imeh, Oyinlomo Barakat Quadre, Henry Atseye, Christopher Bulus, Thomas Otu and Adetunji Adetayo are going to be in action at the Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship this morning as they vie to advance into the second round.

The Nigerian players will be looking at redeeming the country’s image following the mass exodus of their counterparts in day one of the second leg of the ITF pro-circuit at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos.

Imeh will face first leg finalist Stephan “The Master” Fransen.

Imeh should be squared up for this fixture, especially with the unusual but much needed 48 hours rest after that superb victory over fellow countryman Abdul-Mumin Babalola. Although Fransen last played on Saturday which was a day before Imeh last played.

Oyinlomo will swing rackets against first leg quarter finalist, Harmony Tan from France in a very dicey match.

After series of fantastic performances against America duo of Matt Mcride and Aron Pierce in the first and second round of qualifiers respectively, Henry Atseye will be in action against Ilija Vucic today.
