NCC Tennis League Week 6 Preview

It promises to be an exciting weekend in the NCC Tennis League as action returns to the Blue Group from Saturday, Sept. 9 through to Sunday, Sept. 10.

Team Kalotari will be looking to continue in their winning ways when they host Team Muller at the Port Harcourt Club, Rivers State.

Both teams have enjoyed a good start to the campaign so far with Team Kalotari being the most ruthless so far, having thoroughly trounced Team Optiwebb and Team VGC Lions 7-0 each. Team Muller, meanwhile, defeated Team Civil Defence 4-3 before making light work of Team Optiwebb 5-2 at the National Stadium, Lagos.

In the other match, Team VGC Lions will face Team Civil Defence at the VGC Club, Lekki.

Team Civil Defence fell to a 4-3 defeat to Team Muller on the opening week, but bounced back in excellent fashion to thrash Team Oluyole 7-0 in Ibadan. Team VGC Lions, meanwhile, will be looking to put their embarrassing 7-0 loss to Team Kalotari behind them. Both teams have 1 win each from 2 matches.

Also, Team Optiwebb will play host to Team Oluyole at the Kwara State Stadium.

Team Oluyole will also be looking to bounce back from their embarrassing start to the campaign when they play Team Optiwebb who are also yet to record a single win in the league so far. Team Optiwebb were soundly defeated 7-0 by Kalotari in their first game and were thrashed by Team Muller 5-2 in the second.

Team Oluyole, also, have nothing to write home about of their performance so far after falling to two very embarrassing 7-0 defeats at the hands of Team Kalotari and Team Civil Defence.

This will be an open match. And, it will be interesting to see how this turns out as both teams will be in search of a first win.
