The Nigerian team put up solid performances in their Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group III campaign at the Nairobi Club in Nairobi, Kenya. They, however, came agonizingly close to securing promotion to Group II as they fell short in the third rubber of the promotional playoff against Namibia.
