Serena Williams stormed the city of New York in high spirits ahead of the final Grand Slam of the year. The 23-time Grand Slam champion made her arrival known on social media: “I’m back,” she announced.

The 36-year-old took to a lot of activities centring on fashion, charity, and hanging out with other stars upon her arrival.

You know the Queen isn’t just a specialist in winning Grand Slams, right? She also displayed her regality on the streets of New York and added her flavour to the Big Apple.

The six-time US Open champion also had time with hip-pop star, Nicki Minaj.

At the West Side Tennis Club in Queens, Serena alongside the designer behind her collaboration with Nike and Off-white, Virgil Abloh, hosted a group of young queens from tennis clubs across the city.

For the US Open, Williams will don a unique new outfit and shoes.

Her shoes, interestingly, will be in both night and day versions.

Serena Williams, seeded 17th, is currently in top shape, and having reached the final of Wimbledon in July, will seek to go a step better this time around and clinch an astonishing seventh US Open title and 24th Grand Slam overall.

She opens her campaign against Magda Linette in the first round on Monday, 27 August.
