Garbine Muguruza vs Ana Bogdan (2 Sets at 1.35 on Nairabet) WTA, Monterrey Open, Semifinal
Spain’s Muguruza hasn’t had the strongest of starts to the 2018 season, but her return has been aggressive in this tournament. For Bogdan, her performance so far has been good, although she hasn’t faced the steep competition that Muguruza brings. Muguruza, at her best, can be really devastating, we know! And well, Romania’s Bogdan has little to no experience in these type of matches. This should be a routine straight sets match, something that Muguruza has had up to this point. 2 sets at 1.35 will do!
Kiki Bertens vs Madison Keys (Over 21.5 games at 1.85 on Nairabet), WTA, Charleston Open, Semifinal
Bertens has an upper hand here, as she’s not only been dominating on clay, but she’s won the only meeting between these two, which was on clay (last year’s French Open). She’s also currently in good form. However, America’s Keys has the power to match Bertens and certainly won’t allow her to dictate the pace of the match. Keys, when aggressive, can be really good. She has also been able to find a headway twice in this tournament. This should be an interesting one to watch. One I think would be highly contested for. 1.85 for over 21.5 games is a good pick, surely.
Julia Goerges to beat Anastasija Sevastova at 1.75 on Nairabet. WTA, Charleston Open, Semifinal
Goerges should really be riding on a wave of confidence at the moment. The German has beaten top-25 players back-to-back in this tournament already. It seems the odds are stacked in her favour. She has seven wins in her last nine matches on clay court.
These two have played seven times and Goerges has won four of those meetings.
Also, Goerges has won six of her last seven semifinal appearances, while Sevastova has lost four of her last five semifinal appearances. I fancy Goerges going all the way to the final, and 1.75 for a win for the German is just okay.
