Here are our top three betting tips for today from the WTA final in Bogota, the ATP Final in Marrakesh and Houston.
Kyle Edmund to beat Pablo Alba Andujar at 1.30 on Nairabet , ATP Marrakesh Final
Kyle Edmund will be all out to claim a first ATP World Tour title when he takes on Spaniard Pablo Andujar, who’s a two-time former champion at the Grand Prix Hassan II in Morocco.
Edmund hasn’t dropped a single set en route to the final. The Brit swept through the round with relative ease, including the quarter and semi finals which were played in one day, which spells a return to his best form over the last week. Andujar, meanwhile, is currently on a nine-match winning streak, but he’s coming up against a man who thrives on clay and who’s beaten him in the past. I’m backing the South African-born Edmund to play like he has all week, which will mean lots of trouble for Andujar. Edmund is in better form and will claim his first title in Morocco. A win at 1.30 on Nairabet is okay!
Lara Arruabarrena to beat Anna Karolina Schmiedlova at 1.50 on Nairabet, WTA Bogota final
Arruabarrena is playing some of her best tennis in recent years. Superb on clay, the Spaniard hasn’t dropped a set on her way to the final. And while, Schmiedlova has had an impressive outing in Bogota, I think she wouldn’t be able to withstand the extra firepower Arruabarrena produces on this surface. I fancy the Spaniard to come away with a win and clinch her second title in Bogota.
Steve Johnson vs Tennys Sandgren (2 sets at 1.55 on Nairabet), ATP Houston final
An all-American final this is. Tennys Sandgren is in his first ever ATP World Tour final and he’s up against defending champion, Steve Johnson.
Johnson has won nine straight matches in Houston and would be rearing to be the first man to claim back-to-back U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship in 16 years. No doubt, Johnson is the more experienced of the two and should be able to wear down Sandgren. This match will be decided in 2 sets. At 1.55, that’s a nice pick.
