Action returns to Group Llyeton Hewitt in the final stage of the round-robin matches, with Dominic Thiem taking on Kei Nishikori, while Roger Federer squares off against South Africa’s Kevin Anderson.
And here you go:
Kei Nishikori to beat Dominic Thiem at 1.47 on Wakabet, Group Llyeton Hewitt, Nitto ATP Finals
Kei Nishikori will fancy his chances against Dominic Thiem at the Nitto ATP Finals today and I go with him. The odds here favour the Japanese. Aside being the better player on indoor hard courts, Nishikori has always dominated Thiem. The Japanese has beaten the Austrian in all three of their previous encounters and they have all been in straight sets.
Also, Nishikori has made the semifinals on two occasions at this event, while Thiem hasn’t made it past the group stage in his two previous campaigns. I don’t see him turning things around now as Nishikori should be too strong for him.
Roger Federer to beat Kevin Anderson at 1.35 on Wakabet, Group Llyeton Hewitt
I like Federer for the win here. Anderson has been playing well so far, but Federer’s overall mastery of the game should do damage to the South African.
The great Swiss is improving and showed it in his match against Dominic Thiem on Tuesday. He has also beaten Anderson in 4 of 5 meetings, and he should again. Stake that at 1.35. Quite generous, that!
