Alexander Zverev vs Dusan Lajovic (3 sets at 1.65 on Nairabet) ATP French Open R2.

Germany’s Zverev has been nothing short of brilliant on clay this season. The 21-year-old is hitting freely and with admirable confidence. He’s also a player that’s been tipped to upset Nadal (just to show you how good he’s been). Serbia’s Lajovic, meanwhile, has blown hot and cold this year. His level of competition hasn’t been spectacular, and he has a poor record in Grand Slam events, as he’s reached the third round just once in his career.

The Serbian shouldn’t be a problem for Zverev then. The German continues to grind out wins on the dirt, and this wouldn’t be an exception. I fancy this to be decided in straight sets (3). Back that up on Nairabet at 1.65.

Naomi Osaka to beat Zarina Diyas at 1.30, WTA French Open, R2.

Osaka is dangerous and will play very good tennis once she gets into her stride. Just like what we saw at Indian Wells, where she claimed the title, the Japanese has started well in Paris. She’s been in better form than the Kazakh, Zarina Diyas.

Osaka’s strong service game alongside her aggressiveness from the baseline, put to use will be effective against Diyas, who doesn’t match the Japanese in that area. I am backing the Japanese sensation, Osaka to come away with the win here.

Novak Djokovic vs Juame Antoni Munar Clar (3 sets at 1.50 on Nairabet), ATP French Open, R2.

Finally, as it seems, Novak Djokovic has clicked into gear just fine. The Serbian is coming off a relatively easy straight sets win in the first round. Djokovic is playing his best tennis in quite some time and that semifinals run at the Italian Open seems to have given him fresh confidence. He’s capable of making a deep run in this tournament.

Munar, on the other hand, has very little experience on the ATP main tour. He’s on the back of a draining 5 sets win in the first round and wouldn’t have much left in his tank, may be. For Djokovic, who’s starting to find form, this should be an easy encounter. Three sets will be all needed to decide this match.
